Coventry Cathedral Chorus presents Charles Wood's St Mark Passion directed by Luke Fitzgerald with tenor Evangelist Joseph Banerjee. This little-known musical gem includes the chorus singing much of the Passion narrative alongside the Evangelist and solo characters, and has been championed by Daniel Hyde with a recording on Naxos in 2008 and featuring excerpts in 'Easter at King's' 2020 on the BBC.
The performance will conclude with Finzi's beautiful 'Welcome, sweet and sacred feast'.
