40 Watt Sun
40 Watt Sun is the musical project of singer, guitarist and songwriter Patrick Walker, founded in early 2009 following the dissolution of his previous band, Warning, one of the most important, highly regarded and influential bands to emerge from the ‘90s doom metal scene.
The music of 40 Watt Sun is characterised by spare and deliberate arrangements, down-tempo rhythms, and Patrick Walker’s poignant and idiosyncratic vocals and introspective, often darkly-confessional lyrics. Hank Shteamer of Rolling Stone magazine has described the band’s music as “a poetic, gradually unfolding dirge rock”.
In a unique solo performance, 40 Watt Sun will play an intimate Totnes warm-up concert, before embarking on a string of European dates in support of their fourth and most recent album, Little Weight. 40 Watt Sun will be joined on all dates by special guest Serpentent from Seattle (USA).

Drawing from the vast array of influences – ranging from darkwave to folk to neoclassical and prog – interdisciplinary artist and musician, Anne K. O’Neill, sonically and visually encapsulates the vast scope and ranges of the human experience. Her albums are built around guitar and piano compositions carefully crafted so that they can be both layered with more instrumentation, such as on her records, as well as performed on their own, as when O’Neill embarks upon her solo tours. This is an artist gracefully weaving together a broad range of themes and soundscapes with a stunning degree of soul that is both haunting and moving.
“This is weighty music, confronting powerful topics… O’Neill’s voice is quite simply incredible, drawing you in from the first note to the last.”

“…her knack for fusing folk styles is nothing short of impressive.”
