Join us for a wonderful evening in the West End of Glasgow, as part of A Play, A Pie and A Pint’s 20th Anniversary celebrations, with a special screening of the BBC documentary film A Play, A Pie and A Pint: Scotland’s Theatre Revolution.
The evening will commence with a welcome drink at the historic Grosvenor Picture Theatre, where the documentary will be screened. The screening will be followed by a special in-person panel with A Play, A Pie, and A Pint founding members Colin Beattie, Juliet Cadzow, and Dave Anderson sharing stories from the past 20 years of the lunchtime theatre company’s extraordinary history.
The documentary was first televised in 2014 in celebration of our 10th anniversary, and in commemoration of the life & work of David MacLennan, who created A Play, A Pie and A Pint, as well as co-founding influential Scottish theatre companies Wildcat and 7:84.
The documentary was directed and produced by Elly Taylor, with Pauline Law as executive producer and Peter Mullan as narrator. It features archive interviews with Scottish theatre legends Robbie Coltrane, David Hayman, Liz Lochhead and Bill Paterson.
For those wanting to keep the celebrations going, there will be a tasty buffet to tuck into at Fonn Mór, Òran Mór’s intimate piano & wine bar, straight after the panel.
There are two ticket types available:
Ticket Type 1 – Welcome Drink at the Grosvenor and entry to the screening.
Ticket Type 2 – The above, as well as a buffet at Fonn Mór.
Please let us know about any dietary requirements upon booking. If you have any access requirements, please get in touch with the Box Office upon booking.
