An Dannsa Dub Launch New Album ‘Through The Storm’. ‘Through The Storm’ Launch Tour Kicks Off on May 1, 2024.

An Dannsa Dub, the innovative project fusing traditional Scottish music and digital dub, will be celebrating the release of their highly anticipated second album Through The Storm (out May 1, 2024) with  a huge UK tour.

Formed in 2020, An Dannsa Dub—led by Tom Spirals and Euan McLaughlin—have been making waves in the UK and beyond.

Twice nominated for Live Act of the Year at the MG Na Trad Awards (23/24) as well as The 2023 Scottish Alternative Music Awards, the band has garnered critical acclaim for their ability to seamlessly blend the mystical sounds of Gaelic song and traditional Scottish instruments with the pulsating rhythms and deep basslines of digital dub.

With an ever-expanding live following, An Dannsa Dub has electrified crowds across the UK festival circuit and beyond, including Glastonbury Festival, Celtic Connections, Dubcamp (France), and Goa Sunsplash (India).

Their distinctive sound, fuelled by top-tier musicianship, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Following the success of their self-titled EP An Dannsa Dub  (2021), which received airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Nan Gàidheal, and BBC Scotland, and was celebrated by Don Letts, Craig Charles and Tom Robinson, the group’s debut album Air An Turas (2023) further solidified their global presence. The album’s unique collaborations with artists like Cian Finn and Lana Pheutan earned critical acclaim, rave reviews and plays across the BBC, and lead to a host of tour dates across the UK and Europe.

Through The Storm marks a major evolution for An Dannsa Dub, boasting stellar production from the legendary GAUDI and mixed by dubmaster Paolo Baldini DubFiles, along with an array of exciting guest features, including Junior Dread, Lewis McLaughlin, Josie Duncan, Horseman, Corto Alto, and Rachel Newton.

With its diverse influences and boundary-pushing sound, Through The Storm promises to be a defining moment in the band’s journey, offering fans a deeper and more expansive  listening experience.

Fans can expect an electrifying live show on this album launch tour, where An Dannsa Dub will bring their signature high- energy, genre-blending performance to the stage alongside award winning Gaelic vocalist Josie Duncan and their all star team of Nicky Kirk (Guitar) and Maxi Roots (Bass).
