After their last gig at Green Note, Bozard & Pearl Fish embarked on a split expedition, looking for clues. Pearl searched the earth for the bugs and humans and the things they do with their weird little limbs, the trades they lead and their cults. Bozard went to space, travelling the universe, its celestial bodies and gasses, its many solitudes & its chaotic breaths.
Two years on, they return with a full report of their findings and two brand new records.
Bozard has been making a name for himself in the UK Songwriters circuit for his uniquely alternative brand of music. Evocative of realms as diverse as Ambient, Rural Blues and Art Rock, his songs about outer space, fairies and body parts have earned him the favour of audiences in some of the most revered grassroots venues of the country (Cafe #9, Green Note, Ain’t Nothing But Blues Bar, Spiritual Records, Folklore Rooms, 100 Club and many others).
Over three years after his first EP, his new record “Last Orbit” is scheduled for release in Autumn led by the single “Through The Sirens” - out on June 20th.
Pearl Fish is singer songwriter based on the UK waterways whose music lives within the new folk revival; weaving tales of family affairs, crimson constellations, bread baking and service stations. Her “superbly written, beautifully delivered” (NEw Roots) songs have already sold out shows at Cafe 9 in Sheffield and the Hideaway in Frome and have landed her on prestigious stages such as at Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections and Liverpool Sound City. This summer she joins the nomadic Campervan Live Lounge’s pop up off grid festival stage, and autumn sees the release of a project recorded in a hidden valley in Wiltshire.
