To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album ‘Home’, indie-folk siblings Cattle & Cane are releasing the much loved album on vinyl for the first time, as well as performing some special ‘Home’ stripped back acoustic live shows across the country.

Having cut their teeth sharing stages with the likes of Half Moon Run, Tom Odell, Brian Wilson, Stereophonics, Lewis Capaldi and The Head & The Heart, brother/sister duo Cattle & Cane have earned a glowing reputation for their magical live shows and soaring sibling harmonies.

Based in Teesside in the industrial heartland of north east England, Joe and Helen Hammill have cultivated a successful cottage industry with a passionate core fanbase. Sold-out signs are commonplace at their own headline shows, including statement regional dates at The Glasshouse (Sage 2) Gateshead, Tyne Theatre and Middlesbrough Town Hall - where a crowd of 1,100 saw them perform alongside the Northern Orchestra.

Joe and Helen have appeared at acclaimed international tastemaker events such as Canadian Music Week and Reeperbahn Festival, as well as at some of the UK’s finest boutique and inner-city festivals including: Cambridge Folk Festival, Black Deer, Tramlines, Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, Deer Shed and Long Division, not to mention the BBC Introducing stage at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and T in the Park.

As well as extensive support from BBC Introducing, they’ve recorded numerous BBC Radio 2 sessions and picked up airplay from Dermot O’Leary, Anneka Rice, OJ Borg and Janice Long, as well as Elton John on his Rocket Hour, Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music, Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio, Gary Crowley on BBC London, John Kennedy on Radio X and various respected DJs at Amazing Radio.

Thanks to playlists such as New Music Friday UK, Folk Pop, Your Coffee Break, Fresh Folk, Very Nearly Nashville and Feelgood Pop, Cattle & Cane have accumulated over 40 million Spotify streams.
On TV, their music has featured on many well-known shows in the UK including Sunday Brunch, Conversations With Friends, Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing, Made In Chelsea and The Only Way Is Essex, as well as adverts for cars (Ford), trains (Scotrail) and bikes (Wiggle). Further support for the band came from Middlesbrough FC, who printed the lyrics to the band’s Teesside anthem ‘Infant Hercules’ on the club’s home shirts during the 2019 season.

Away from the band, Joe is an award-winning songwriter with cuts for the likes of Ward Thomas, Lucy Spraggan and Robbie Williams, as well as recent sessions alongside such luminaries as 10CC's Graham Gouldman, Beth Nielsen-Chapman and John Smith.

In their native Teesside, the band are perhaps best known for their folk anthem ‘Infant Hercules’ – with the lyrics adorning Middlesbrough FC’s home shirt and regularly being played at The Riverside Stadium.
