Come and join us for a night of fantastic festive funnies at our ever-popular comedy club this December!
Joining us for this night of mighty mirth-filled merriment are these comedy Christmas Crackers! – Kate McCabe, Kieran Lawless, David Stanier and Allyson June Smith!
Allyson June Smith
After her initial forays into standup garnered her some success, Allyson hit the comedy club circuit, which in turn propelled her to headlining gigs at festivals. She shone in multiple high-profile slots at the Winnipeg, Halifax and Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. And that was just the start. In the years that followed she received multiple nominations for Best Female Stand-up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, taped her own Comedy Now special and did stints on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial and CBC’s The Debaters.
A self-confessed “over-sharer”, any Allyson June Smith show inevitably serves up a potent observational cocktail of wit, bite and shame. Courageously self-deprecating, Allyson’s comedic gift is making every room, whatever the size, feel like an intimate group therapy session. That intimacy, that uncommon bond between audience and performer is at the heart of Allyson’s magic as a comedian.
“Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with,” Jason Manford
Kate McCabe
American comic who lives in the UK and gigs all over the country. You can also catch her with ComedySportz Manchester and Murder Inc Improv.
When not working professionally as a comic, she also lends her voice to audio books and video games. You may have even been killed by her flamethrower-wielding baddie in Tom Clancy’s THE DIVISION 2.
‘Just a goddam delight’ Manchester Wire
‘Delivers strong material with aplomb’ Three Weeks
Kieran Lawless
An Irish comedian now based in Manchester.
He has worked in comedy clubs across Ireland, the UK & Europe including supporting Patrick Kielty in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
Well respected in his native Ireland, his television credits include; New Comedy Awards (RTE), The Takeover (RTE), and RED TV (RTE).
“exceedingly entertaining, highly energised and side splittingly funny” – NorthWestEnd.co.uk
David Stanier
Is a silly and nice stand-up comedian and comedy writer. Fun and daft, enthusiastic and unconventional, David always tries his best!
‘Stanier has a knowingness behind the daftness…lovely, feelgood stuff’ Chortle
‘An ernestly giddy comic with an impressive arsenal of jokes. Stanier’s material is beautifully, banally silly’ Gigglebeats
