CRYMWAV's album launch show + SYTERIA + STAR CIRCUS

CRYMWAV (pronounced “Crimewave”)

Formed in 2022 from the ashes of Los Angeles rock and rollers Smash Fashion.

Guitarist and songwriter Roger Deering (Smash Fashion) teamed up with lead guitarist Lloyd Stuart Casson (also from Smash Fashion), Greg Rogers (Goatsnake, ex-Obsessed; drums), and Bruce Braddock (bass guitar) to create a deeply rooted sound in their shared musical experiences. Drawing inspiration from punk, post-punk, gothic rock, and NWOBHM, the band weaves their collective influences into a sound that’s fresh yet familiar, with nods to iconic acts like Hawkwind, The Clash, Killing Joke, Thin Lizzy, and UFO.

Frontman Roger Deering reflects, “Crymwav started to come together for me while I was staying in London about three years ago. Smash Fashion was at a standstill, and I was writing darker, heavier material. It was clear this was a different muse, and I wanted to channel the energy of bands from that area—Hawkwind, Motörhead, and The Clash. When I came back to LA, everything clicked, and the band came to life.”
Praise for Crymwav

Crymwav’s self-released 2023 EP, 24/7, garnered rave reviews and international airplay. Guitar World Magazine described it as “Channeling the furious fire of Motörhead and UFO, cut through with the melodic sensibilities of Cheap Trick. Every track sound like an instant stadium-filling anthem.” The EP established the band as a force to be reckoned with, and "Contagious" solidifies their place among today’s most exciting new rock acts.

STAR CIRCUS:

London-based rock band led by Dave Winkler and Sophie Aurélia Young, influenced by a variety of artists including Queen, Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick and Alice Cooper.

Debut album 'Separate Sides', produced by radio legend Tony Wilson, was released in December 2022 to an overwhelmingly positive critical response. Following the album release, the band embarked on several triumphant UK tours, climaxing with a main stage appearance at Hard Rock Hell XVII Festival in November 2024. They plan to release their hotly anticipated sophomore album 'From The Wreckage' in Spring 2025.

"Melodies that earworm their way into your head, set up camp, and refuse to move out again." - Alex Holmes (Powerplay Magazine)

SYTERIA:

Yorshire based SYTERIA was formed by Jackie "jax" Chambers of legendary GIRLSCHOOL. Musically they mix elements of modern Pop-Punk with contempory anthemic choruses!

Their debut album ‘Rantobot' received a nomination and was short listed to the final 5 at the ‘Independent Music Awards' as well as ranking highly in many on line voting polls for best band in various categories.

POWERPLAY REVIEW: 10/10 "In conclusion,Syteria have done it again, top of the shop for me this month"

PLANETMOSH: 5/5 "A highly impressive album"
