After relocating in 2023 to Australia to be closer to her family, acclaimed Singer-songwriter  Emily Barker returns to UK to play at Celtic Connections Festival in Jan 2025 and a few other add on dates including Cluny2 in Newcastle .
 
Emily Barker is settled back now in her home state of Western Australia and has recorded her first album in four years called  “‘Fragile As Humans’ at The Wool Hall and it’s a full album’s worth of new songs. You’ll know Emily as she has played here many times & is an award-winning singer-songwriter, best known as the writer and performer of the theme to the hugely successful BBC crime drama ‘Wallander’ starring Kenneth Branagh.Emily has toured as a solo artist for over a decade, as well as with her band “Red Clay Halo’s” and collaborations, most notably her long association with Frank Turner. Emily also composed the soundtrack for Jake Gavin’s lauded debut feature ‘Hector’.

‘Fragile as Humans’ is scheduled for release May 2024.
