Having formed in London in 2023 Fox Called Friday are about to release their debut EP ‘Simmer’. Combining elements of soft rock, folk and prog-pop Fox Called Friday invite you in with theatrical songwriting and intricate harmonies, whilst ‘powerful vocals’ from the two leads fill your ears with catchy melodies. These old uni mates ‘clearly have a great time on stage’, with their natural chemistry and friendship sitting at the centre of their music.
Moxon was founded in 2021, blending loop and guitar pedals, synths, and drum pads to build a wall of sound.
Shivani is a multi-disciplinary artist, singer-songwriter, author and composer whose work bridges together genres, cultural identities, and emotions. Her work aims to break tradition-based boundaries and is inspired by a blend of storytelling, aesthetics, and spirituality. Having trained in Hindustani Classical music for over twenty years with gurus in India, her music currently focuses on vilambit khyal, a deep and meditative form of classical music, that aims to evoke peace and reflection. Recently named BBC Introducing's Artist of the Week, Shivani's music releases highlight a blend of classical music with contemporary western soul and pop, with her upcoming single being released on 7th March, featuring classical runs over pop choruses and instruments like the tabla and sitar accompanying drums, cello, piano and other quintessentially western instruments. Shivani is also a poet and her debut poetry book To the Homes that We Are is sold internationally and in bookstores in London. This evening, she will be performing a contemporary rendition of Hindustani classical music alongside instrumentalists Vishnu Vijayan and Theo Archer from band MTV trio A trio who create their music by applying the principles of Hindustani music to reimagine other traditions.
