Somebody’s Child’s self-titled debut album, released in February 2023, was the culmination of years of work. Cian Godfrey had started the project in his native Dublin in 2018 with a series of infectious indie-pop singles that garnered attention both at home in Ireland and across the water in the UK.
Early support slots with the likes of Primal Scream and Kaiser Chiefs as well as an appearance on The Late Late Show helped to quickly bring SC to the public’s consciousness - and before too long US indie label Frenchkiss Records (The Drums, Passion Pit) came knocking.
The LP was produced by Mikko Gordon (The Smile, IDLES) in London, and featured a handful of fan favourites alongside newly-penned material. Upon its release, it garnered positive reviews from the likes of CLASH, The Irish Times and Hot Press amongst others - notable radio support came from RTE 2FM, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music and NPO 3FM in the Netherlands.
A period of heavy touring followed, taking in high profile festival appearances at SXSW, Best Kept Secret, Truck, Reading & Leeds and BST Hyde Park, two sold out UK tours and opening slots in summer 2024 with The War on Drugs and Bloc Party - all serving to establish Somebody’s Child as a force to be reckoned with the world of indie rock.

Independently featured on BBC Radio 2, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and picked as a ‘BBC Introducing One To Watch’ artist, Finn then signed to Interval Records (Universal/EMI North) and Jon Ollier (One Fiinix Live) in 2024. He has supported the likes of Rag n Bone Man, Bastille, The Reytons, The Lottery Winners and Newton Faulkner.
An advocate for inspiring more arts and culture in his hometown, Finn Hails from the industrial town of Middlesbrough in the Northeast of England and his songs come from places of real truth, deliver anthemic melodies and shine light on the trials and tribulations of his youth told through captivating vocals. His recent singles have already received support from Apple Music, Amazon Music, VEVO, Deezer and SoundCloud, and his EP 'EMBERS' is set for a summer 2025 release.
