That Old Quiet Lighthouse -

That Old Quiet Lighthouse are a four piece singer-songwriter outfit, fusing the unrestrained intimacy of Sufjans Stevens with the undisguised emotiveness of Big Thief, Front Bottoms’ inspired melodies and American Football’s bittersweet instrumental textures.

Lead singer and bassist’s Ashley Garrod’s vocal tone is the very essence of vulnerability, raw and uncensored - yet the lyrics are thought-provoking and nuanced, appealing to the remnants of adolescence in all of us. Each song undertakes a journey of its own, supported by guitarists James Cooke and Louis Campbell - who move from textural cavernous reverbs to intertwining melodies, with the sensitive yet locked in grooves of Gabriel Alexander on kit, topped off with Ashley’s unique driving bass melodies.

Danny Addison -

Multi-instrumentalist Danny Addison first emerged in 2019 with unique blend of retro-fitted, neo-classical folk inspired by the likes of Kadhja Bonet, Moses Sumney and Nick Drake His first single, 'Marigold', exploring themes of loneliness and reminiscing fond memories of loved ones, and his second, 'If the Sun Sells Her Soul', are the first of four appearing on his 2020 debut EP.

Quiet Houses -

Quiet Houses are a Manchester based indie-folk duo made up of Hannah Elliott (vocals, violin, keyboards) and Jamie Stewart (guitar, vocals). After forming in early 2018, the pair started writing songs rooted in the wistful folk sound-world of Laura Marling and Fleet Foxes and the quirky lyricism of indie songwriters Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile. In December 2018, they began recording their debut 5 track EP, ‘Armchair Tree,’ with up-and-coming producer Karl Ziegler. They celebrated its release by performing to a packed out room at The Castle Hotel, Manchester, on the 29/05/19.

The EP has over 23,000 streams times on Spotify and ‘The Gallery’ was played on BBC 6 Music as part of ‘The Tom Robinson Show’. The duo perform regularly in Manchester venues such as Soup Kitchen, Jimmy’s, The Whiskey Jar and at Night and Day Café, both as a pair and with a band.

Barney and Matt -

Barney and Matt met in 2013 whilst studying together at RNCM, and quickly bonded over their mutual taste in music. Having developed a friendship playing together in multiple projects over several years, the concept for their duo came just 6 months ago after an enthusiastic discussion about Paul Simon, Sun Kil Moon and Bon Iver. Armed with these artists as inspiration, they’ve developed their own wistful take on soul-searching acoustic music which they plan to gig regularly around Manchester, and are looking to record an E.P within the next year.
