Hayley Griffiths is a classically trained vocalist who spent nearly a decade as the Lead Singer in the international phenomenon Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance. Hayley’s crystalline voice enchanted audiences across the globe; from Japan to Chile to Russia to Paris, performing in over 400 Cities across 35 Countries and 6 Continents! With this wealth of touring experience under her belt and an award-winning debut album to boot (Silver Screen won Classical Crossover Album of The Year 2010) Hayley was headhunted to join Progressive Rock Band Karnataka in 2011 and her journey into the World of Rock began!
After leaving Karnataka in 2017 with another Album of The Year Award in her pocket (for Secrets of Angels at The Classic Rock Society Awards) Hayley started her own solo project, The Hayley Griffiths Band with whom she has now headlined Progressive Rock festivals from France to South America and released a live Double DVD and CD. 

The band’s latest offering M E L A N I E is their first official studio album and features 7 brand new tracks (plus 3 bonus songs for the physical release only.) Hayley is joined by her former Karnataka band mates, Cagri Tozluoglu (Keys) and Jimmy Pallagrosi (Drums) alongside virtuoso Lead Guitarist Mathieu Spaeter (Franck Carducci/Drifting Sun) and Jordan Brown (Bass). Legendary Big Big Train Drummer/Vocalist Nick D’Virgilio also features as a Guest Vocalist on the track Dust To Gold. MELANIE has been mixed by Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral for a Friend.) The title track MELANIE is about a fictious alter ego, it is cheeky, bold and in your face! 

Not content with one album project, Hayley released both Far from Here and M E L A N I E in early 2023. Far from Here is a follow up to Hayley’s 2011 album Celtic Rose and is produced by Mike Stobbie (founding member of PALLAS.) The title track of the album is an original song by Mike about a Princess who had to ex-communicate herself from her own Country because of the infidelity of her lover who she hopes to regain! The remaining 10 tracks are stunning new arrangements of much-loved Celtic classics. The album is a celebration of Hayley’s Celtic roots and touring career to date. 

Both albums showcase Hayley’s extraordinary diversity as a Vocalist as she crosses musical genres with ease and passion for both styles. Hayley will be further sharing this diversity with her unique touring show in 2023. Act 1 will present Far from Here and Act 2 M E L A N I E. A musical treat for the open minded that quite literally will have something for everyone; from heavy rock anthems to beautiful Celtic ballads combined with virtuoso musicianship and the promise of a lot of sparkle and glamour!

In 2023 Hayley can also be seen on tour with Pop Prog outfit ZIO, on maternity cover Lead Vocals for I O Earth and providing Lead Vocals for Oliver Wakeman on his new album ANAM CARA and headline performance at Winter’s End Festival.
