Meet singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist KATYA who is known for her refreshingly personal solo performances where she combines her soulful vocals, layered guitar and keys with electronic beats, jazz overtones and atmospheric soundscapes, courtesy of numerous triggered effects. Her debut single – released on Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage in 2023 – was mixed by multiple Grammy award-winner Spike Stent (Ed Sheeran, Bjork, Lewis Capaldi) and mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Stormzy). KATYA’s genre-blending music and intriguing solo live set-up got her recognised and played on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing London and featured in Spotify editorials. She has performed at numerous major UK festivals, twice at Glastonbury 2024 – again on the Acoustic Stage and on the Greenpeace Stage – and supported Paul Carrack on his 22-date anniversary tour of the UK last autumn which culminated with a special show at the Royal Albert Hall.

KATYA was awarded Henley Festival’s 2024 Westcoast RISING Star Award – “celebrating outstanding achievement and great potential” – and has been selected as a PRS (Paul Reed Smith guitars) Pulse Artist for 2025. She was shortlisted to perform at SXSW, appeared at BBC Introducing x Southbank Centre’s ‘futuretense’ showcase, and Ditto X’s industry showcase at Indigo at The O2. KATYA has a busy year ahead with the imminent release of her EP ‘Spirit Of Your Roots’ in April followed by her debut album later in the year.

KATYA boasts a range of well-respected industry supporters including Paul Cummins (retired co-manager of Dire Straits) who was “mesmerised…from the outset” by KATYA’s music and performance at the Royal Albert Hall; Alison Howe (Executive Producer of Later… with Jools Holland and in charge of Glastonbury for the BBC) who described KATYA as having performed “brilliantly”; Paul Charles (Asgard) who booked her for Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage two years running and as support for Paul Carrack’s 22-date tour; and Tim de Lisle (Mail on Sunday’s Pop Critic) who included KATYA in his Glastonbury 2024 article:  “…and KATYA (****), who will be named as the Rising Star at next week’s Henley Festival, was charismatic.”

KATYA’s true passion lies in the creation and live performance of her music where she communicates with her audience in an open and honest way, revealing elements of herself through music and conversation that have the power to still and silence a sea of people then bring them to their feet dancing and singing her catchy, uplifting lyrics.
