Maggie Baring is a rising London-based artist, known for her heartfelt lyrics and versatility. Performing professionally since 17, she’s played across London and Northamptonshire, often featuring at university events and fashion shows. Her last single of 2024, "Don’t Let Me Move On," ventured into alt/indie pop, blending poetic lyricism with rich harmonies and dynamic beats, inspired by the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Aurora and Dido. It is a taste of an alt-pop project she is yet to announce. Her most recent release, “Viral” gives an indie, singer-songwriter spin to classic neo-soul, RnB sounds while making pertinent jibes at the state of the music industry in the modern era.
After an initial pop shot at becoming an indie bedroom artist, George has since taken to Leeds to re-evaluate his career trajectory. Although his debut self-release single “We’ll Be Alright” gained modest internet success hitting 1.5m streams, he felt the need to study the craft of songwriting and turn his talent into technique. Whilst selling out shows in and around Leeds, he has gravitated towards a Folk Americana sound, skilfully weaving narratives that touch on themes of time, youth and bittersweet relationships. His music is a captivating exploration of the human experience, resonating with listeners on a personal level. In between lectures, captaining the music school football team and the Hyde Park locals, he has acquired a taste for production and arrangement. Getting to grips with the drums and piano has also raised his own standards, ensuring an excitingly high ceiling for songs to come. Now back down south, the calendar is filling up as he finds a renewed hunger for playing live.
