THE ROOV | OPEN PLAN | THE MALTS | CHANCERS
Saturday 21 March 2020

An eclectic line of rising talent from the North of Scotland will take to the stage at Ironworks, Inverness this Spring. Moray based pop/disco band, The Roov have been causing a funky stir in Scotland and beyond playing to sell out venues across Scotland.  In August 2018, the band released the single You Wanna Be Like Me which became Radio Scotland's single of the week. Their 2019 release, Workin’ On U was included on Universal Music’s “Future Hits” Spotify playlist.  2019 also saw them play a packed-out Seedlings Stage at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. The Roov have recently been announced for the main stage at Belladrum 2020.

Chancers are an indie-rock-pop outfit from the Inverness area.  Since the birth of the band in May 2019, Chancers have released 2 acclaimed singles and a busy summer of gigs including a rapturous appearance at Belladrum, Tartan Heart Festival.  The band were also voted as one of the North's top 5 live gigs of 2019, alongside names such as Noel Gallagher & Lewis Capaldi. Chancers are back in 2020 as a full band, armed with some new hard-hitting singles and a busy schedule of shows all over the UK.

OpenPlan are an upcoming 4-piece indie band based in Caithness at the North of Scotland.  Over the course of 2019 they have played some notable and well received support slots with Miracle Glass rocked the stage at Edinburgh’s EH6 Festival alongside Kyle Falconer and Honeyblood.  Their demo EP, Déjà vu amassed over 25,000 streams and their newest single Traffic Light is going down a storm with fans.  The young band already have a small Scottish tour on the cards in May with several other shows in the pipeline including this show at Ironworks.

The Malts are a band of 5 long time friends from Maryburgh who spent long enough watching everyone else making music, and decided to have a go themselves!  Consisting of Frontman Teddy, guitarists Matty and Scott, Jack on the Bass and Sean, on the drums. They boast a rough and ready sound with a lot of swagger.  The band played a Netsounds show at the end of 2019 supporting Scottish alternative rock band, Rev Magnetic and have their sights set on more shows for 2020.
