FOLK RISING is an intimate, curated and community-based night of folk music aiming to celebrate the best upcoming folk artists London has to offer. Each act is chosen by Ormella and given 5 secret envelopes, all with audience-picked questions that they open between each of their songs . The night encourages artists to open up about their songwriting process, journey and influences. The tickets for the night are all equally split between the acts, as-well-as given a cut from the handmade event merch Ormella has designed. With the music industry in crisis this music night aims to be as sustainable as possible for emerging artists. After the main acts, the mic is open for the remainder of the night.
