    Press Club

    Indie Rock

A group of friends first and foremost, Press Club is so much more than just a band – it’s a family. In 2016, this spirited quartet started jamming a couple of times a week in Iain’s Brunswick garage. Once they worked up a bit of a repertoire, Press Club cut their teeth in Melbourne’s vibrant live music scene, playing in venues such as The Gasometer Hotel, Grace Darling Hotel and The Old Bar. The band said yes to every single gig they were offered and wound up playing 110 shows in their first year – at least 100 of which were in Melbourne. Press Club’s smashing debut single, ‘Headwreck’ – with its buzzsaw riffs and manic drumming – scored immediate high rotation on triple j and FBi radio in Australia. Their plans for world domination via strategic touring were foiled by the global pandemic. But Press Club made good use of this time, recording Endless Motion – their previous, third album – which was championed as Double J’s Album Of The Week when it dropped in late 2022. This self-produced record debuted at #3 on the AIR Independent Label Chart and #5 on both the ARIA Vinyl and Australian Physical Album charts. Press Club is vocalist Natalie Foster, guitarist/engineer Greg Rietwyk, bassist Iain Macrae and drummer Frank Lees.
