'Did I get used to repression, or is music my way of fighting?' 

Sara stands at a crossroads with her child, questioning whether she is ready to overcome this new change in a world where others still decide about our bodies and voices. How does a woman who has experienced firsthand repression of her body and voice now react as her child struggles with their own gender identity?


Saria Callas is a new multimedia play about aspiring to be a singer while growing up in a place where it is forbidden for women to sing. 

Co-presented with Seemia Theatre.
