Simple Minded pride themselves on being the world’s best Simple Minds tribute band and rightly so! The bands line up consists of, George Porter – Vocals, Stevie Mason – Bass, Archie Dickson – Guitar, Stuart Clyde – Keyboards and Paul Carnegie – Drums.
Simple Minded have been lauded by past and present members of Simple Minds including singer Jim Kerr.
All the guys in the band are massive Simple Minds fans, so there's a great deal of energy and enthusiasm in the band to deliver a brilliant set. In the bands own words they love what they do, absolutely love it and hope everyone who comes to their gigs loves it too.
Singer George and bass player Stevie have both worked with original Simple Minds members Derek Forbes and Brian McGee on their own projects. I guess this really underlines the authenticity of Simple Minded and validates what this group is all about. They really are a band that you must see performing live!
Deacon Blues is the only Deacon Blue tribute band! For the first time they want to bring the music of Deacon Blue to the fans in intimate venues. They work the bands back catalogue and incorporate fans favourites with some rarities.
