Gareth Freiheit is a musician from Dublin, Ireland, and spent his early years in central Munich. His stage name is a nod to Freiheit Square where his father led the city’s first ever St. Patrick’s Day parade.
As a vocalist and guitarist, with backing band The Freedom Fighters, he has played alongside Imelda May at the Bloomsday Festival in Battersea, Niall McNamee for the Trocaire Refugee Fund, Elizabete Balcus at Hedge Fest (charity fundraiser for urban hedgehogs) and Declan O’Rourke at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith.
In September he released his single ‘Back To The Shops’ and played to a sold out audience at The Bread and Roses Theatre in Clapham. Later this year he will tour the UK and Ireland in support of his upcoming EP.
