Hailing from the North East and a former Ouseburn resident, Ste Johnson is excited to bring his full band to the Cluny.

Ste’s songwriting is infectious with a mix of songs from heartfelt and inspiring through to upbeat and catchy melodies which will grab your attention and stay with you. His guitar focussed songs blend perfectly with his powerful vocals to give a memorable live performance.

With influences of classic and modern indie/pop, his own style has previously been described as a blend of David Gray through to Oasis with a clear nod to the 90’s indie scene.

An experienced performer, Ste has performed as a solo artist all over Europe and directly supported the likes of Jeff Beck, Joss Stone, John Power, Sophie Ellis Bexter and The Bootleg Beatles. He has performed for the Armed Forces all over the world which has led to many Radio and TV appearances including The Chris Evans Breakfast show. His first single By My Side has been used by the BBC for their primetime Strictly Come Dancingprogramme.

Ste loves to have fun on stage and engage with the audience to guarantee that everyone is having a great time.

An exciting 2025 awaits for Ste and his band with UK festivals lined up and a new EP being released which will be played in full at the Cluny.

Ste will be supported on the night by Steven Fothergill, another Nort East performer who has performed on the international scene with his band Strings For Ammo. He will be playing a solo acoustic set to get the night started.

This truly is a homecoming gig and Ste is passionate about keeping costs down for everyone to enjoy a great and affordable night of music.
