Together, The Grand Old Echo create their affectionately named 'City-Folk' sound - witty and poignant story telling about life, death and everything in between, delivered through triple harmonies and the occasional rap verse, all laid over a variety of traditional folk instruments.
This headline gig at London’s iconic Troubadour marks the completion of their first major body of work - they’re self-titled EP.
The Grand Old Echo promise a night of energetic folk and bluegrass instrumentals, triple harmony vocal tricks and - for some reason - a dash of juggling.
Castlecombe Drive’s electrifying blend of soaring melodies, interwoven guitar riffs and driving rhythms are impossible to ignore. Known for their emotionally charged performances and signature sound, they’ve carved themselves a niche in indie rock that has had them blasted through the airwaves on stations such as BBC Radio 6, Radio X and RTE 2FM. Having caught the attention of legendary producer Nick Tauber (Thin Lizzy, Marillion), they now set out to collaborate on their upcoming third EP, promising to expand their sound to new sonic heights with even more raw intensity.
