Dive Bar Blues from the banks of the Mersey Delta”

Formed in late 2018, Liverpool band The Heavy North released their
debut 4-track vinyl-only EP ‘Dive Bar Blues’ on limited edition 12" vinyl in
December 2020.

In April 2022, The Heavy North released their long-awaited, critically
acclaimed debut album ‘Electric Soul Machine’ on Record Store
Day (23rd April 2022) and embarked on their first UK headline tour in
September 2022 – culminating with a sold out 500-capacity headline show
at Liverpool’s Arts Club Theatre where the band performed their debut LP
in its entirety, accompanied by a 12-piece band featuring a string quartet,
brass section and backing singers.

Following an appearance at Kendal Calling Festival 2023 and headline
shows across the UK and Europe, The Heavy North returned in October
2023 and hit the Official UK Charts with the release of their second 10-
track album ‘Delta Shakedown’.

The band ended 2023 with a huge hometown show at Liverpool’s Camp
and Furnace where the band once again performed as a 12-piece band
for what would be The Heavy North’s biggest show to date.

In Summer 2024, The Heavy North returned to the Official UK Charts
with the release of their debut live album and full-length concert film 'Fire
In The Furnace', recorded at their triumphant hometown show at the
Camp and Furnace in December 2023.

The live performance was released on double 12" vinyl, double CD and all
download and streaming platforms, whilst the full-length concert film is
now available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video.

The Heavy North are Kenny Stuart (singer), Jose Ibanez (guitarist/
producer), Jack Birch (guitarist), George Favager (bass player) and Mark Rice (drums)
