He's credited as one of the Godfathers of UK Garage, being referred to as Todd ‘The God’ Edwards amongst fans - watch *that* video of him in Romford with DJ EZ for his first UK show.
Very early on Todd developed a unique way of using sampling, particularly vocals and would often use this technique in place of a musical instrument in his productions. This hypnotic collage of cut-up samples over swung beats and disco-flavoured baselines helped set him apart from many of his peers.
He's collaborated with Daft Punk on the albums Discovery and Random Access Memories, and recently with the likes of Joy (Anonymous) and Sammy Virji.
