The Tourbadour London presents “Troubadours in the round”
From London, Austin and California three of the finest singer songwriters come together to share their songs and the stories that created them.
Freddy Trujillo has played with some of music's most influential pioneers from Pat Smear and The Germs (Germs, Nirvana) to his current band The Delines. Brought up in California and now based in Portland Oregon Freddy has released his latest solo record “ I never threw a Shadow at it” to wide acclaim.
Ella Raphael was brought up in London but her musical journey has taken in Australia, America and Spain. Along the way she has picked up influences from the poet Mark Strand to the movies of Almodovar and Vincent Gallo. Musically her influences include The Shirelles, Julee Cruise, Love, Serge Gainsbourg, Karen Dalton (to whom her lilting vocal occasionally recalls). Ella is now signed to Fire Records.
Graham Weber’s songwriting heroes include Guy Clark, Slaid Cleaves, Todd Snider, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Alejandro Escovado, and many more and he himself has become a cornerstone of the Austin music scene. He fronts Austin rock band Restos and has released 5 solo records and his new record “Old Young Man” (coming this year) promises to take his solo work to a new level and includes performances with Jaimee Harris, BettySoo, Bonnie Whitmore, Jane Ellen Bryant, and Ida Wenøe.
