ABOUT
Our monthly late night series brings songwriters together to perform in the round, hosted by Matthew Herd. February sees the incredible, genre defying Ed Begley bringing some new material to the Vortex with Alex Bonney on trumpet and electronics.

Ed Begley

Ed is a vocalist and keyboard player who conjures his music from improvised, ambient explorations and delivers captivating performances using electronic and acoustic instruments.
Having recently completed several new recordings alongside Alex Bonney and Matthew Bourne, he will be showcasing new material from these sessions ahead of his upcoming releases.

Ed will be joined by Alex Bonney (trumpet/electronics) and their duo project is called 'Entire Skies'. Ed has a trio with Tom Herbert (bass) and Joost Hendrickx (drums). An experienced songwriter and producer, Ed writes for screen and stage and is currently working with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Thom Yorke (Radiohead/The Smile) on 'Hamlet Hail to the Thief'.
