ACCESSIBILITY
Here at Riverside we aim to make our venue as accessible and as comfortable for all those who attend. Most of the ground floor is wheelchair accessible, however there is a small step at the front door. On the ground floor there is a raised area with a bar and usually this is where our merchandise stall is setup. We have rubber curb ramps to assist those who require wheelchair access into the venue. The viewing balcony overlooking the stage has stairs leading to it which is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
Please email riverside@tokyoindustries.com if you think you will need assistance as we will make a note of your name & requirements to inform our staff on the day of the event, to try our best to accommodate.
We have ground level accessible toilets for customer use complete with a radar key. We have ensured that the back route past the VIP bar is kept clear for all gigs as this leads to the accessible toilet.
As a venue, our staff are there to support and can also reserve seating, if requested in advance.
CARERS PASSES
Our procedure for Carers passes is as follows:
Purchase a ticket as normal, email your ticket confirmation along with proof of requirement of assistance (e.g valid blue badge/confirmation letter of higher rate DLA) and the name of your carer to matthew.bell@tokyoindustries.com
Once we have that we'll add the name of the carer to the free on the door guest list & you'll be good to go!
GUIDE & ASSISTANCE DOGS
Guide dogs are permitted to assist those who require this.
STROBE LIGHTING
There is use of strobe lighting in the venue on the majority of our shows - all of which often use an element of smoke/haze which may make visibility more difficult.
